The Honeysuckle Centre promotes a happy, healthy start in life for all babies and toddlers.
The Centre became a registered charity in April 2005 and aims to provide easily accessible support and information for mums-to-be, new parents and the wider family. The Honeysuckle Centre has an ethos of care and companionship; making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in our home-from home environment. A variety of sessions are run in our relaxing 'baby safe' rooms including:
- antenatal pamper evening
- breastfeeding preparation
- baby massage
- breastfeeding support group
- baby cafe
- child health clinic
- baby play sessions
- soft play
- tone up and more ...
The Centre is open Monday to Friday from 10.00am - 3.00pm: call in any time to access jargon free information and support, or even just a cup of tea, chocolate biscuit and a friendly chat.
Antenatal mums
Why not come and meet us before your baby is born? You can drop in at any time, or come along to an antenatal pamper evening. If you are planning to breastfeed, why not come to the breastfeeding preparation sessions to help get feeding off to a good start! Or we could come and visit you at home.
Breastfeeding peer support
Through the Honeysuckle Centre you can access a group of mums with breastfeeding experience and special training in supporting other mums. We can come and visit you before birth, in hospital and when you get home, whenever you need us. If you are thinking of giving breastfeeding a go. we will be there for you every step of the way.
Rooms for hire within the Honeysuckle Centre:
- large comfy room ideal for children's parties (for under 5's)
- training room with ICT facilities
- small meeting room
- cafe facilities
